He hacked together the first ever website dedicated to his famous ancestor at janczochralski.com, which he continues to maintain alongside his co-founding role in The JanCZ Project. is the official biographer of the Jan Czochralski story based in Wroclaw. Having family roots in the same North Central Poland region as JanCZ, and also being a physics scientist, provided Dr. Tomaszewski with the personal motivation to research the history of JanCZ. From his earliest discoveries about this man and his scientific contributions, he was hooked. This dedication and painstaking documentation has now been going on for over 40 years, resulting in the authorship of multiple books and academic papers, as well as collaborations in support of films, exhibits, and other commemorations.
